About the Event

This workshop will offer valuable insights into crafting compelling content for the “Impact” section of Horizon Europe project proposals. Participants will also explore the simplified financial management approach available through lump sum funding. To attend, participants must be affiliated with Luxembourg-based entities and have prior experience in drafting research proposals or engaging in research projects. 
Expected impact is one of the main evaluation criteria for awarding funding under Horizon Europe. Workshop participants will learn to: 
  • Understand pathways to impact 
  • Devise effective strategies for the dissemination and exploitation of project results 
  • Understand how proposals are evaluated for impact. 
  • Familiarise yourself lump sum funding.

Practical advice and feedback, provided through hands-on exercises, will be provided to strengthen proposals and improve their evaluation outcomes. The workshop will also give ample opportunities for peer learning and best practice exchange. 

The workshop will only cover proposals to be submitted under Research and Innovation Actions (RIA) and Innovation Actions (IA).

Target audience 
The workshop target people planning to submit a Horizon Europe proposal within the next 12 months. Participants should have prior experience in submitting Horizon Europe proposals (successful or not) or have been actively involved in Horizon Europe-funded projects. They should already have a solid grasp of the Horizon Europe proposal structure, particularly the Impact section. 

As the number of places are limited, priority will be given to applicants who have not participated in the previous edition of this event held in November 2024. 

Registered participants who are unable to attend are kindly requested to let us know as early as possible so that their spot can be offered to someone on the waiting list.
