This event organised by Luxinnovation explores the interplay between artificial intelligence and ethics, with a focus on data and high-performance computing (HPC) for AI projects. Experts will also discuss the implications of new regulations for funding innovation projects.

Recent advancements in artificial intelligence are making this technology a key part of our lives, disrupting industries and creating new business opportunities. In this informative event, speakers will explore various essential facets for the success of AI projects. This includes funding, ethical considerations, data spaces, data usage, governance regulations, and HPC access to drive innovation.

To ensure a sustainable yet fast development of these technologies, the EU has put forward several initiatives, fostering and regulating the use of AI, especially linked to funds for research and innovation.

The event will explore the journey of data for AI projects, from collection and compliance to exploitation. It will also explore the implications of GDPR standards and the AI regulations for Horizon Europe and Digital programmes. The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology will talk about ethics in EU funded AI projects. Luxprovide, in charge of Luxembourg's supercomputer MeluXina, will highlight the benefits of leveraging HPC for AI applications, especially for SMEs and EU-funded projects.

Speakers will also shed light on the role of the European AI Office and AI Factories, both fostering the development of trustworthy AI models and empowering SMEs and organisations to drive AI innovation forward.

Luxembourg-based space analytics company, WEO, which has a proven track record in harnessing the power of earth observation data and AI to generate actionable insights, will share its experience.

Key actors from universities, research and technology organisations, public and private companies, as well as public offices interested in European or national funding programmes for research and innovation are particularly welcome to attend.
